Welcome to Nevada Traffic Safety School (online version). This course (est. July 1999) is patterned after the original classroom/workbook class founded by Tracy D. Fisk,which class is presently being conducted by Marilyn Fisk.
Purpose: this course is dedicated to the purpose of instruction of safer driving skills and providing informative facts regarding the dangers and risks we face everyday,as drivers,passengers, and pedestrians on Nevada roadways.
Reasons for enrolling in a traffic safety class:
- For educational purposes only(in which case anyone is eligible).
- Received a postcard from DMV in the mail informing you that you have accumulated 3 or more demerit points on your driving record.
- You found that you have unwanted points on your record (which up to 3 pts. can be removed from that year).
- You may have been court-ordered.
- For insurance purposes only.
- Plea Agreement/Court Option
What is the Court Option Program Program? This is your agreement to bring back a certificate from traffic school to the court of jurisdiction on or before a certain date that they will give you and , in return, they agree to not send any current points to the DMV !!! (Best situation -because it protects your record.)
Note: Once points go on your record… they remain there.
Attendance at traffic school can remove up to three points (from counting toward that year).
